Step by step instruction Yoga pose - Tree pose (Vrksasana)

1. Stand in the Tadasana yoga pose and transfer the load to the left foot, pressing the inner foot firmly to the ground. Try spreading your toes. Bend your right leg and grab your right lower leg with your right hand.

2. Lift the right foot and press it to the inside of the left thigh, pushing the heel as close to the groin as possible. The center of the pelvis (navel) should be above the middle of the left foot.

3.Place your hands on your hips and check that your hip bones are parallel to the ground.

4.Extend the scapula to the floor. Press the right foot on the inside of the left thigh. Fold your hands in a prayer position (Angels of Wisdom). Breathe calmly and look softly at some point on the floor (1–2 m). A more advanced version is to raise your arms above your head, either stretched or slightly bent.

5.Stay in this yoga pose for about 30 seconds to one minute and get out of Tadasan. Repeat on the other leg.

The advanced variation  is with raised arms; they can be stretched or partially bent as in the attached picture.
