How to Practice Self Love
Self love always helps us achieve a sense of security and happiness.
We seek love in other people, and that’s how we find security and love.
We also receive a reward for good behavior. But the truth is that the love we are looking for is within us.
But we are always looking for love outside of ourselves, which is why there is no attention from a drudge person that can help you feel safe if you don’t have your sense of security.

But how can you feel safe regardless of the love you receive from the outside?
You can work on self-love to overcome limited thoughts and feelings of insecurity. In this way, they will actually shine in their lives.

Do you struggle with loving yourself?
Do you want to change the way you think about yourself? You can learn to love yourself, build positive habits, and increase your self-confidence.
The biggest struggle is learning how to love ourselves during difficult times.
If you’re in pain, it can be challenging to overcome.
You may need to ask yourself: How much do you love yourself?
I know it’s difficult to answer such a general question, but it’s a start.
Or maybe you can set yourself challenges that can help you through the journey of “self-love.
An additional question that can help you on this path is this one:
- Do you like your flaws, or do they bother you?
- Do you have boundaries set for others?
- Do you find yourself accepting less even though you truly deserve more?
- Do you underestimate yourself and your worth?
If you answer these questions, you can also answer the question of how much you love yourself. It takes strong practice to achieve self-love.
Here are five ways and ten challenges that can help you on this journey.

Don’t take yourself too seriously.
At times, we may feel as though we’re embarrassing ourselves.
People simply don’t care whether what you did was funny or strange.
Even if they did care, you shouldn’t.
No one is perfect; in the end, the only thing that matters is what you think of yourself.
Approach your life in a carefree way, and you will make room for the truly important things.
Here’s something that can help you take everything less seriously: do something silly or funny, for instance, dance in front of your house, talk to strangers at the gym regardless of the topic, etc.

Be aware that you are capable of anything, but it is impossible to do everything.
If you know how to distinguish between the two, you are on the right track.
There is something called “declutter.”
If you find yourself juggling numerous work deadlines, side projects, and new hobbies, it might be beneficial to streamline your commitments.
Do one thing at a time. Find a focus; give yourself the best opportunity.
Here’s what can help you: Please create a list of tasks you are currently working on or planning to undertake.
Choose one and write down the next step you plan to take. Focus on one step, not the whole process.
Value the little things.
Find a reason to be proud of yourself — you have something to be proud of.
Our brain is wired with the crises we fall into so that we forget the positive things.
That is why we must follow our small victories and celebrate them.
What you can do is to write in a diary, which we will refer to as a “happy diary.”
You can also use a bullet journal or your cell phone.
You document all the small victories; you can immortalize them, e.g. You can immortalize these moments with a beautiful photo.
Stop with the negative self talk
What I have learned is that negative self-talk leads to bad habits and then to a negative perception of yourself.
You need to stop talking about yourself in a negative way or repeating negative sentences like “I can’t” or “impossible.”
Rationalize what is behind your negative sentences, or there might be a deeper problem you are not aware of.
One way to change your negative story about yourself is to replace negative sentences with positive ones like “I will try,” “I can do it,” “I believe in myself,” “I’m having a bad day, but it will pass,” etc.
Recognize your feelings.
You must be aware that you can never defeat yourself because feelings are a part of you.
You are not weak if you feel sadness, loneliness, or frustration.
These are signals of your mental health, not a sign of weakness.
To love yourself, you need to accept your vulnerability.
How do you really feel? Take your journal and write your answer.
You can write about your fears, your worries, or your joys.
You can write about anything that’s on your mind.
Then read your response aloud, as if you were listening to your friend who opens up to you.
Be compassionate for yourself, and that way you will know how you feel. Remember, you have your self-worth.
Unfriend if you can.
Some people are in our lives temporarily.
We all learn that sooner or later.
If someone makes you feel less worthy of love, it might be time to reconsider that relationship.
When you love yourself enough, you regain your power.
One way to do this is to cut people off.
Here are some ways you can do that.
Write down the names of people, distance yourself from them, or be honest with them, simply telling the truth about your relationship.
How to practice self love
I know it takes a lot of listening, documenting, and reflecting, but it is worth the effort.
Anything that costs you your inner peace is simply too expensive.
Try applying at least one of those ways to practice self-love, and you will see how it goes over time; then you can apply the others. Trust me, the reward will come.
