If there’s one reason I love winter, it’s because then I can enjoy this delicious fruit! Orange, like banana, is a common ingredient in healthy smoothies; especially on cold days when we do everything we can to support our immunity. Enjoy!

1. Refresh yourself: Protein fruit smoothie

This smoothie is really a real fruit rhapsody, and it’s also rich in protein.

You can never have enough great smoothies! We are especially looking forward to them now that the season of our favorite fresh berry, strawberries, has arrived. In addition to strawberries, we added orange and mango to this smoothie, and the creaminess was provided by Greek yogurt and strawberry whey. If you make this smoothie when strawberry season is over, feel free to replace them with blueberries or any other available berries. Another tip: during the hot summer months, add crushed ice to the smoothie and blend everything together-you will get extremely nutritious, refreshing and fine refreshment: a protein fruit smoothie!

Ingredients (for 2-3 people):

  • 180 ml of water
  • 250 g of Greek yogurt
  • 1 teaspoon of honey
  • 1/2 teaspoon bourbon vanilla
  • 1 scoop of strawberry-flavored whey protein
  • 1 orange
  • 125 g of mango
  • 60 g of strawberries (or blueberries)

Preparation:

Peel the orange from the peel and the inner white part. Cut into slices. Peel the mango and cut it into smaller pieces. Wash and clean the strawberries.

In the container, i.e. the glass of the blender, put in order: water, Greek yogurt, honey, vanilla, whey protein, orange, mango and strawberries (if desired, add crushed ice).

Blend everything well into a creamy smoothie, serve in suitable glasses and enjoy!

2. A refreshing Orange smoothie

If you are looking for the ideal refreshing drink after an intense activity, look no further. This could be the smoothie for you.

This combination of nutrients and taste will not only wake you up but also serve as a perfect refresher after training due to the coconut water and electrolytes it contains, as well as the many vitamins and minerals from the fruit. If you wish, you can also add half a banana for an extra boost of energy and nutrients!

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup of coconut water
  • 1/2 cup squeezed orange
  • 1 apple
  • 1 teaspoon of cinnamon
  • 1 scoop of whey protein (recommendation: unflavored or vanilla)
  • 1 tablespoon ground flax seeds

Preparation:

Put all the ingredients in a blender and blend until combined. Throw in an ice cube for even more refreshment or leave in the fridge overnight for a light and refreshing breakfast.
